Meet Chef Kwon

Kwon is a Philadelphia native, who currently lives and works in Washington, DC, where she runs Chef Kwon Crumble LLC, a personal chef and catering company. She transformed herself from a passionate home cook into an inspired professional chef at the Culinary Institute of America and Le Cordon Bleu, where she obtained her Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts and Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Management, respectively.

While apprenticing with restaurateur Alice Waters and Chef David Tanis at the Chez Panisse Restaurant in Berkeley, CA, Kwon became committed to healthy organic eating, seasonality, and sustainability. She believes that the foundation of delicious meals is great ingredients and lets their quality shine through in each creation.

After graduation, Kwon successfully created and managed a prepared Paleo-meal program for a chain of Washington, DC health clubs, where she gained a deep understanding of her clients’ palates and nutritional needs. Kwon developed healthy meals containing a variety of texture and flavor that helped her clients to change their body composition and achieve their goals as athletes.

Kwon’s expansive knowledge of international cuisine provides her with the culinary range to create meals for vegans and omnivores alike. Kwon’s classic culinary approach continues to evolve through insatiable curiosity and exploration.
